Denied!

We heard back from the insurance company. They've denied the consult and HIPEC procedure. I've channeled my inner Erin Brokovich & sent a bunch of information to the patient advocate who has filed an appeal. Who knows what will happen - but, it's frustrating. Some insurance companies cover it-why not all?

Even though Blake hasn't decided on the surgery yet, we were hoping he would have a chance to meet the surgeon (Lowy). I'm sure talking with the surgeon would help him with his decision.

The insurance company shouldn't have this much control. It's Blakes decision!

I'm bummed. And scared.
