Blake is doing well. His tumor marker went down from 6.1 to 2.8 since he started chemo. That’s good news. The Onc asked Blake if he could handle at least 2 more treatments. He’s getting a PET scan him on the 19th – if the tumors show improvement, he may get a chemo break. Not a true break – the “evil” drug would be pulled out of his chemo regimen. He’s scheduled to have chemo again next week but I think it will be doubtful. His white blood count was down to 1.6. If it gets below 1.5 they won’t do chemo. It’s been dropping about .3 each time. If they don’t do the chemo, they’ll give him a neulasta shot to help bring up the WBC. Blake doesn’t like the idea that the chemo break isn’t a true break. He said…. “I just want a complete break from it” We’ll see what happens. He’s wiped out. Last night he could NOT keep his eyes open. It was like he was drugged.

Cancer sucks.
