I consider my self a might lucky man, though I’ve been gutted like a fish, poison though the many chemo cocktails; lose of my hair and the rest of my body just falling a part. I still have a wife that adored me, a family that I love and may friends that truly care.
I recall after I was diagnosed with the reoccurrence talking to Dr. Eyring. He said that he was a movie guy and that I need to go see the “Dead Poets Society” and “The Bucklist”. I told him that I never had the ambition to watch “The dead Poets Society”, but have watched “The Bucketlist” anf the first item on my Bucklist was hunting Grizzly Bear with nothing but a knife. Joe stated that that was a pretty short list.
I’ve tried to keep a sense of humor and light heartiness though my fight with cancer. I realize that I can not go out in a blaze of glory at the local saloon in a gun fight, but I can go out like good old Queen Vic with pride, style and dignity.
