Thankful this moment.........

Things continue to change.  Over the last few weeks there have been a few substantial changes in Blake's condition.  Although he ate some jello this afternoon, Blake no longer is interested in eating.  He is also physically unstable and has periods of confusion.  The last few days have proven that the "declines" are coming more often; Sunday evening and Monday were horrible.  After this last experience, I seriously wondered if I would be able to endure.  Thankfully, we have family and friends that are here to help or willing to help at a moments notice.  For that, we will always be grateful.

Blake has been having periods of confusion and agitation.  Although we haven't figured out the cause but I still want encourage visits.  I'm told short (30 minute) visits should be ok.  If you can, please call ahead to see if it's a good time but for the most part, any time between 1-4 should be good.

I've been cautioned that the "rallies" may not continue, he has bounced back today in typical Blake style.  Although the improvement is nothing near as much as we'd like, we're grateful for what we have - THIS MOMENT in time.  This Thanksgiving I will do my best to keep things in proper perspective and remember what really is important in the "big picture."

Thank you all for your loving gestures and comments.  I'm not very good at asking for help but can say this..... If you see something that needs to be done, please go for it if you're so inclined.  :)   If you want to help another way, bring a meal or treat, please contact Jessica (directly, comment here or on Facebook.)  Jess will be a good contact to coordinate most things.

Right now, I am thankful for this moment in time.  My sweet husband is comfortably sleeping with his guard dog on his lap and we feel the love from friends and family.  Thank you.

With Love,  Kathy
