On Saturday, November 30th my cowboy passed away just before midnight.
I will not say "he lost his battle with cancer" because he didn't lose. He fought like Hell and kept fighting. He exceeded any and all expectations including the 2-4 month hospice time frame. He made it 4 1/2 months; I call that a win. He also wins because he now gets to see loved ones who have gone before that he has missed so dearly.
We lose. We are the ones who must now grieve while we try to find a new normal. Please give us time and patience, as we struggle through the next few weeks. We appreciate all your continued love & support.
